Before last night I never even heard of this game before but, playing it was so much fun and the amount of laughter during the process was enormous.
So the game starts with a massive ball with an apple in the center that is wrapped tight with hundreds of layers of basic kitchen plastic wrap.
Inside the many layers are lots of different prizes a person can win during the unraveling process. The prizes we had ranged from cash, lottery tickets, gift cards, alcohol shooters, candy, ect.
The game starts with one person rolling dice as many times as it takes to roll doubles on the dice such as 5 & 5. While rolling the dice the person behind them must put on oven mitts and try to unwrap the plastic and collects the prizes that come out while doing so.
When the person rolling the dice hits the double numbers the game is stopped immediately and the dice and oven mitts each move one person to the left and the game starts again.
This is the pile of stuff I won while it was my time with the mitts on my hands. The lottery tickets were all duds so I ended up with 8 bucks in cash, some candy, a couple of nice gift baskets and most importantly the apple.
If you get a chance to play this with your family over the holidays you will really enjoy it because the game can be played by people of all ages at almost the exact same skill level. Pealing that plastic off is hard with those mitts on and a fast dice roller behind you trying to stop your turn.
