I'm mainly writing this to address the numerous times people asked if PALnet will be the steemit killer yesterday and last night. I think we've seen plenty of people try to kill steemit at this point, hell Steemit Inc seems determined to do so, but regardless there's no need or intention to do that. Look at all of the forks of STEEM that have fragmented the community and struggled to gain any kind of footing after making the split, why try to do more damage and most likely fail?
The vision and mission is the same as it's always been and the goal is to create something of value in a voluntary way. As a group founded on the principles of Peace, Abundance, and Liberty, we highly value consent and respect other's autonomy. All of that being said, there's no point fighting against each other or trying to compete with the people that want to see STEEM succeed. We all want the same thing.
I didn't really know how to respond to these questions/statements about killing steemit yesterday, but after sleeping on it, I think I will share my perspective. It's a collaboration, an infiltration, and an opportunity that requires existing users to do absolutely nothing other than adopt a tag if they want to opt in. You don't have to use the website to get the benefits of our community. You don't have to buy stake if you don't choose to do so. You don't even have to acknowledge our existence if you don't want to, but we are here, we've never left, and we think we can add value to this ecosystem. Feel free to agree or disagree and join us or don't, it's all voluntary.
