The past weekend went by with the speed of light... We were busy, tired afterward, but we know we did it with our mind in the right place.
The first thing we did was to deliver a surprise gift for a dear friend of ours. He was having his birthday, and he left to visit his parents so his apartment was empty. We used our copy of the key and did a weekend makeover. With his apartment of course.
We replaced his old, broken meat slicer with the new, which was neatly hidden inside this giant package waiting for him to unwrap it. But that wasn't all we planned to do for him.
We knew, that he had an old shower cabin, which was starting to crack in the middle. Because he lives in a block apartment that could mean some serious costs if the water would start to leak below it. That's why we decided to buy him a new shower cabin.
My partner and I removed the old one and installed the completely new one, clean the apartment and even fill some goodies in the fridge and cupboard for him and his little girl.
When everything was sparkling clean we inflated some balloons and put them in the apartment as a decoration. I was having some double thoughts if I wanna show you the part of the bathroom with the toilet, but I realized, why I wouldn't want to show it if it's pretty?
So when we were done we locked the place and went searching for adventures, discovering some new places, and spend some valuable time together as a family.
We crossed borders, drove over bridges, and enjoyed every second of the trip. Just amazing. The curvy road brought us to our goal destination. A place when my partner and I visited before we had the girls.
"Lago di Predil", aka. "Rabeljsko jezero" is located way above sea level, near Treviso (Italy). It's vivid green color filles me with the energy.
And even though it's lying surrounded with high mountains it was surprisingly warm. So we put on our swimsuits and simply swim in pristine water. We even experienced something new - small fishes living it the lake were nibbling our feet while we were standing in it.
But because it was Sunday, and we had to go to work the next day we had to leave this place.
The last view of the lake was carved in our memory along with the thought, that we will visit again for sure.
So from an Italian lake to Slovenian mountains just in a few minutes over the Predil.

Oh, and I would almost forgot to tell you the end to a story from the beginning of this post if 
...When our friend arrived home late in the evening he called us. He said that he almost experienced a heart attack when he saw everything. Told us, that we did too much, and that he can't pay us back for all. Then he even started crying a bit, because he was so moved and thanked us a thousand times.
But we told him, that everything happens for a reason. And with his good deeds, it's only natural, that we did everything without expecting anything back. It was worth it, every spent cent and every minute of our time just to give someone a surprise of his life.
