The late, American-born artist Nancy Fouts was best known for her distinctive sculptural works, reconfiguring common objects and materials with a characteristically playful and provocative humour. All the while ensuring her art kept a sense of purpose & meaning. Combining Surrealism, Dada and Pop-Art, her work brings together seemingly disconnected objects and ideas to revel in the inherent strangeness of the minutiae of the everyday.
Upon her death in 2019 at age 74, Nancy was still admired by the likes of artists such as Banksy. This stands as an everlasting testament to her talent & creativity.

• • A lot of energy, attention, & research goes into these “Artist Spotlight” posts. The intention is to bring art & artists exposure to people who may never run across their work, hopefully enriching the lives of the both parties. If you know or want an artist featured please contact me. I am always looking for talented individuals to promote. These posts can also be found at: https://beta.cent.co/@erixink
