I've been posting my Pinky and Spiky comics and my organ playing videos with creativecoin tag for entire week and this morning I noticed my first payout on my Steem Engine Wallet: 636 CCC. They are for my first two posts on creativecoin.xyz - I'll start earning Creative Coin Crypto (CCC) and The Gratitude Challenge. My next rewards will come in 6 hours for Pinky and Spiky in the Park.
At first I thought this platform will be only for visual art and music-related posts. But what about hundreds of other art forms? Luckily they have announced that they will accept all kinds of creative posts.
It's so great that creative people finally have a home on Steem. I understand that not every artist, writer, poet or musician enjoys reading about crypto and Steem all the time (although I do recommend to educate yourself even a little bit in these matters if you want to reach your dreams on Steem). When scrolling through your feed on Steemit you will find all kinds of content, even those that don't interest you. But on a place like creativecoin.xyz you will only see the posts that have creativecoin tag in them. Therefore creative people will likely find this place more interesting to hang out in.
That's the power of tribes and communities on Steem - anybody even with the weirdest interest and niche can create and find people like them through SCOT and Steem Engine.
There is a challenge though - with so many tokenized communities now it's had to maximize curation efforts - on one platform your voting power might be too low and on others would sit unused. Quite a few people have started creating alternate accounts for themselves with a special extension to each platform, delegate their tokens to them and do curation from these alternate accounts exclusively. It was not so difficult when only a couple of new communities were around. But now - it's becoming a mess, like my friend recently wrote.
However, I'm not creating alternate accounts for now and waiting for the tool within some frontend (maybe SteemPeak) to manage my voting power on different frontends. I understand there is a great need for this.
