Wow.
So, about a week ago, made a post announcing that he was down to ship some free dragon fruit cuttings to anyone interested. Free plants? Heck yeah, you know I'm all about that.
What I wasn't expecting was a massive homesteading/permaculture airdrop.
Last night, when we got home, this package was waiting for us on the porch.
On top, right when I opened it, was this. A face ANY steemian knows as the one and only . On the back:
Again, wow.
One of the pitaya cuttings. And that's just ONE!
He included three of them! Wow! I've never grown dragon fruit before, but it seems simple enough. Being a cactus, it should be fairly easy to propagate.
Malabar spinach seeds, Chinese red noodle beans, Sugar rush peach pepper seeds, and Kiwano seeds. During our chat on discord, sent me some of his videos about these plants, and I started looking into them one night at work. What an awesome set of plants! Talk about production! These things are going to be awesome in the food forest. Except maybe the Kiwanos; they'll be tested in a safe place, as they are extremely prolific. They'll go over on the North hugel probably. That's not all...
Now that's intimidating. Have y'all ever eaten a ghost pepper? Nate has. I'm thinking maybe my first dtube snap, what say y'all? ;)
Brown turkey fig trees! I got these in the ground asap. They're currently in the bucket with the avocado tree, but I'll get them into their own propagation containers soon. I expect they'll be an integral part of the food forest.
A small container of dried toothache plant flowers! I wonder if there's any seed in there...
A steem superstars card and a steemit.com bookmark!
A deck of permaculture playing cards! Looking through these last night, I have a lot of ideas! Each one features a different permaculture principle or foundational permaculturist. I think we'll work our way through them on here together as an easy steem permaculture series!
And then, as if all that wasn't enough...
He sent a 2018 Communi-Tree steem silver round.
What can I say? This is nothing short of a blessing. , THANK YOU! What an awesome and inspiring gift from an amazing steemian.
God bless you and your family, man! May abundance and health come to your land, more than you've ever known! I don't know how to thank you enough for this... But to start, I'll buy you a Hell Burger next time you're in Texas. Seven types of ghost peppers in this little slider. Let me know when :)
