In the developing world there are many in need and much to do about promoting good governance. In the land of the free we have roads and bridges crumbling and cash stores, dollar stores, and dollar menus in every town while obesity and opioids plague the average free citizen. Meanwhile an elaborate financial paradise far from the duties of kin and country has been constructed for the ultra-wealthy. Why? Because the corporate, financial, and political elite desire it so.
As we stand in a constructed two-party system with the propagated fear or terrorism, fear of the next mass shooting, and fear for our next paycheck and healthcare bill, far beyond the contrived atmosphere trillions of digits rest peaceful under another caribbean sunset. As the wall st. bankers rest in the comfort their financial and derivative speculation will once again be covered by a legally ripped-off public, the classes drift ever further apart in a system created upon the principles of haves vs. have nots on the grave of opportunity. There is a melting pot among the lower classes, but for the elites the pot is the gold they've constructed at the end of a paradise rainbow of greed, for themselves.
