Yesterday my daughter complained her second 12 hour shift in a school Job Shadowing experience.
She arranged to go with the great paramedics of Netcear911 on the emergency ambulance service.
Just 24 hours in Johannesburg on this service has given her life experiences beyond her years.
Rushing through the traffic in an ambulance with it's siren sounding and witnessing the different response from different communities - those who move out the way and those that dont. Generally those in the suburbs respond in a positive way and many in the townships dont!!!
Witnessing the stark difference between Government and Private Hospitals as patients were rushed to each.
The greatest life experiences were gained helping those in need - the patients.
Desperate cases from road accidents to chronic pain and suffering victims to helping deliver a baby.
She has grown into adulthood in a short space of time.
A huge tribute to the Great Paramedics on call in this dangerous city of Johannesburg South Africa.
