As we all know to have our family is one of our great achievement in life. To have a kids is one of our dreams because not all family have kids. Kids is a blessings from GOD.
In God nothing is impossible .
I would like to share the story of my friend here in Benghazi, Libya. They are both my colleague and they get married at late age.The boy is 48 years old and the girl is 40 years old..It is difficult now to bear a child because of high risk pregnancy but still they didn't give up hoping to have their own child.They went to church everyday praying that God will give them a child..They have a strong faith to God asking to have a kid. We told also not to lose hope God is good all the time. And we advise also to take rest and relax maybe because of stress here in our work place no salary, no bank remittance even though its quite now but still sometimes you will hear gun firing somewhere ( if you are here you will feel stress) So they decided to take a vacation in the Philippines to unwind, and after two months they return here in Libya with a big good news to everybody that the girl is now pregnant.Last October 3 she delivered with a healthy baby boy.
Every parents ambition is to give a good future, good name and most of all to give Christianity by giving baptism. So they decided that their child to be baptize, and luckily i'm one of the God mother.Why baptism is important to us? Baptism is the one sacrament that all christians shares in common. Tradition of Christian family to give it to the infants months old to convert into christian.
Baptism in the catholic church usually takes place on Sundays during the parish mass or in the early afternoon after all the masses are over. In most cases the parish priest administers the sacrament ,anointing the person being baptized with oils, pouring blessed water over the child or adults head not just once but three times.A person being baptized in the Catholic church is expected to dress in white to symbolize purity of faith and the cleansing power of baptism.The baptism is a participatory one, all the friends god parents and immediate family members of the person being baptized a bit more involve.Every person being baptized must have a sponsor tradionally called Godparent. Being a god parent besides giving Christmas and birthday gift every year really means actively giving god christian witness and example and being a role model and support by regularly and faithfully practicing the religion.

After the baptism we gather together to have a small party in welcoming our godson to christian community
This is my godson named Jenson Francis a name combination of mother and father and the second name comes from a Saint name Francis.
