My first post curating single moms went really well! It lead to a lot of great discussion in the comments, and a single dad spoke up too, saying he would like to participate. Well, of course! I highlighted single moms because I am one, and I do think we have our own particular ways of experiencing things as moms, but I did not want to exclude anyone with that intention. So I was glad when

I have talked to
I can feel in his words a similar feeling that I have had my son's whole life... that time is precious, that art is kind of always the last thing on the list when it comes to surviving...and that pressure always nags at us .....we can never do enough with the limited kid-free time.... that being poor is part if the deal... and damn we love those kids. And, because its pretty isolating being a parent... we don't tend to know many other single parents ourselves. I only know a few in real life, and we never hang out! We do text each other sometimes when stuff is hard. But that is really all we have time for !
What springs from that pressure feeling sometimes, is kind of remarkable. I spin my wheels a lot but really if I look back I realize that I am quite productive considering all the interruptions I have had. @Falseydols and @Wildempress blow my mind even more because their children are younger than mine, and I only have one kid! Major respect to you two !
