My first morning in Paris, I headed to Sacré-Cœur basilica. Until I reached the top of the steps I had no idea just how far you could see.
I went inside and was genuinely astounded. I didn't know what to expect but I was very pleased with the breathtaking interior of this fantastic landmark. I proceeded to sit through the service being given which was being given bilingually to my surprise.
The gorgeous building sits at the summit of Montmartre and is the highest point in the city. The brilliant white of the exterior stands out strikingly against the pure blue skies that surround it.
I was mesmerised by this landmark and I wish I could have spent more time exploring it and the area nearby, but this just means I need to go back again!
