Talocan - Huss Suspended Top Spin
Talocan is Europe's first suspended top spin and is located in Phantasialand Brühl near Köln ( Germany). The attraction of the manufacturer Huss Rides takes since 2007 the place of the demolished condor in the topic of Mexico. The discussion follows a fictitious story about the exposure of an Aztec temple as it enlarges the wine cellar of a Mexican cooperative. The name is derived from the Aztec mythology, in which the paradise of the weather god Tlaloc Tlalocan was called.
Theming
By elaborate theming in the form of an Aztec Temple, which caused the majority of the investment costs, and special effects of fire, water and fog, the Phantasialand wants to give the impression of a powerful God, the visitors feel his anger. The Feuergarben arise despite the presence of natural gas supply by the combustion of liquefied gas, since the required pressure in the amount of two to two and a half bar could not otherwise have been achieved. The focus of the theming is a broad sculpture depicting the god Tlaloc with a malicious facial expression. In his hand he holds an open vessel with a fire in it, which burns constantly in small form, but can suddenly expand to the dart flame, if this is provided by the driving program. Other places of origin of the fire effects are located at two openings on the head. The stone structure, over whose face constantly water from a hollow runs on the head, perches before the row of water fountains on a pedestal in the midst of a water-covered surface. Since the Phantasialand wants to entertain less brave visitors with the sight of this spectacle, the plant was deliberately designed so that the event can be well observed by the transition to the topic Deep in Africa.
