OFFICIALLY A MUSEOLOGIST/#ART HISTORIAN/TOMB RAIDER (yes, really) who realized I am a dark tourist specialising in cemeteries, crypts, catacombs, charnel houses, funerary symbolism and burial grounds, a muse, une gamine, a dark scholar, a creature of darker nature wishing to engage on creative ventures with talented and interesting individuals who share my love for the decadent, the intellectual and the macabre. I am a tumblr émigrée and now I plan to make Partiko my own personal museum, a place where I share the art I have always been fascinated with. My main fascination is Eschatology and the visual culture of death and sepulchral culture; the figure of #Death throughout the centuries, (the triumph of death, the grateful dead, artistic anatomy prints) plague art, Danse Macabre, Vanitas, Death and the Maiden, cemeteries, memento mori objects, European cultural manifestation of deisidaimonia e.g. Phoenician apotropaic amulets, the decadent, the grotesque, demonology, symbolism, occult, esotericism, witchcraft, the weird and wonderful, jewellery (especially mourning jewellery) alchemy, curiosities, oddities, mythology, antiques, funerary art, architecture & symbolism, wonderful interiors of museums …and coffee.
