Yesterday me and my friend went out to buy a couple grams of weed, we saw a couple pretty big snapping turtles. The first we passed and headed to turn back for it and saw another that we realized early that it was a she, and she was defensive because she laid her eggs not a foot off of the road. So we left her alone and proceeded to go back to the other original turtle we saw.
It seemed like it was as well a female because since the other was already laying eggs that this one may too. But it was in the middle of a dirt road off the main road and seemed tired or dehydrated. We took our photos, pour a little water on it, pulled a leech off its shell and went on out way hoping the best for both of them. We went and got the weed and literally ran out of gas just past where we saw them before and at least the one in the middle of the road had moved and I was thankful because I thought it seemed a little worn out compared to the other mama turtle. We got a gas can just to find out that there was ANOTHER turtle (turtle season???) a regular turtle commonly found in the woods/swamps/lakes I don’t know the type because I done study turtles but I love animals and nature so we moved them and from that essentially ended our day feeling as if it was eventful.
Thanks for your time, I hope you all have a great day
