Well it has been a long time since I wrote an update about my steem progress. Not so much the progress of Steem, but my Steem Power.
When the year did start I set myself the goal of more or less doubling my SP holdings. At the end of 2018 I did have around 1068 SP, so the idea was to grow it towards 2250 SP. But suddenly things did go fast for me on the Steem Blockchain and quickly I had to set a new goal. Trying to push myself forward and for once setting the bar at a height which was maybe unreachable, I decided that I did want to take a shot at dolphinhood!
Lot's of calculations were done and in most simulations it was out of my reach!
On the 12th of March I did break the 2K SP holding barrier but at that moment I was still stuburn and keeping the goal at 2500 SP. But on the 26th of March I did see the light and made the brave decission to go for it. With in the back in my mind that faillure would be possible but that it is better to have tried and failed then never to have tried at all!
My life won't change if for once I did fail to complete a challenge or quest!
And this week something magical happended. When looking at my progress I could create a nice PacMan :)
As you can see I have completed 75% of my quest. So 25% more to go! I could leave this pie chart out of this post!
The growth was a combination of lot's of things! Investements, curation rewards, author rewards, dividends and so on!
Plans
Like always I did create an excel dashboard which does the calculations for me. According to this sheet, I still need to earn 1240 SP in the next 224 days. That reflects 5.536 SP per day! With the increasing value of Steem this of course will be harder and harder! But there are some pushes in the back!

But also curation is adding some extra steem in the wallet. Within my first year on the steem blockchain I did earn 47.818 SP. Now I am earning around 20 SP per month, which of course is a push in the back. If everything goes to plan, this month will be the first month ever that I will earn more than 20 SP.
Also Smartsteem does add a little bit of steem each day. I did set that I may only sell votes when the Voting Power is above 92%. I do reach this once a night and during the weekends more votes are being sold. If does leaves me enough Voting Power during the day to support great posts!
But also the dividends of the gambling dapps are adding all up. At the moment I do earn around 10 steem per week. I know that this isn't a lot but all things do add up!
The road ahead!
While I am ahead of the planning nothing is guaranteed. I do have to admit that the games on the steem blockchain took it's toll. In the past weeks I had less interactions with the fellow Steemians than I did want! I will change this from now on!
Interaction on the steem blockchain was my fuel to keep on going and it still is. I still like to read different opinions about various topics!
