More than 30 Asian and European members of the International Securities Services Association are currently looking at ways that they can working together to create the infrastructure required for the provision of custody services for digital assets, Coindesk reported.
According to Coindesk, the study is still in its early phase, and the central securities depositories will share their findings at the annual SIBOS conference for banking and financial institutions in October this year, which will be hosted by London.
The head of innovation at the National Settlement Depository under the Moscow Exchange Group- Artem Duvanov- told Coindesk:
"A new world of tokenized assets and blockchain is coming... we will be focusing on tokenized assets, not just blockchain but on real digital assets."
