Habitat:
Is a type of wild mushrooms that many stick to the logs that have been rotten or dead.
Characteristic features :
- shaped like an umbrella, yellowish or brownish.
This mushroom is one of the most popular mushrooms by people including me because besides tastes good, this mushroom is efficacious cure various diseases.
But be careful for those who want to take this mushroom from its origin, ie from the trees I have mentioned because there are mushrooms similar to this umbrella but not useful at all aka poisonous .....
Usefulness:

Use in cooking:
Fresh shiitake mushrooms (slightly chewy) or in the form of dried (clay) are often used in various cuisines in many countries. Fresh Shiitake is usually eaten before the bottom umbrella changes color.
The shiitake shaft is rather hard and generally not used in cooking.
Some people prefer dried shiitake than fresh shiitake because dried shiitake has a more fragrant (hard).

Russia also produces shiitake in large quantities and is sold as a pickle in bottles.
