Problems with searching Partiko and DTube

She might look like a fan of LEGO, but don’t click on that post! It’s not family friendly and has zero to do with LEGO!!!

I’ve been using Steemit a lot more lately. This has a lot to do with Hive account@partiko, this app is great and it incentivizes you to use it by giving you points for just using the app, and you can use those points later to boost your posts. However I recently discovered a major flaw in using the app. So hopefully by making this post, Hive account@partiko will see this and address the problem. The problem is its search engine. We love to build LEGO and share what we build. So obviously I would like to find other posts that have LEGO in them, however when you search LEGO you get some not so relevant results. First one that comes up is some LEGO shaped ecstasy. I mean sure it’s related to LEGO, but it’s over a year old. Plus it didn’t even use LEGO in the tags, just drugs. The fourth best result is literally porn!!! Then a few other of the top 10 searches come from my buddy Hive account@bricksmith78. Who I recruited to Steemit. The unfortunate news is that he has stopped using the platform, so why are his searches relevant? All top searches are at least 8 months to a year old.

I really wish there was a way to refine your searches. Like the trending button have options to change your search to “most recent” or “most popular”. Am I asking to much? Do you ever have problems searching Hive account@partiko?

Ok now on to @DTube. The same problem, but even worse. We are getting ready to to post some @DTube videos, so I decided to search on the @Dtube site. I searched Fortnite Montage. It’s says search result found, but nothing is there. I downloaded the DTube viewer app( I know it’s not affiliated with DTube) just to see, same result, nothing! Also says it’s powered by AskSteem Search by Hoxly, but when you click on the link it’s says “Thanks for stopping by. AskSteem and it’s API have been discontinued”. I couldn’t believe that there are no fortnite montages in DTube, just due to the popularity of the game. So I searched Steemit, low and behold I found fortnite montages, in DTube none the less. Although I couldn’t get them to play, which is a whole other problem with @Dtube. Which is the whole reason I haven’t posted any videos so far because I’m afraid they won’t even play. (Out of over 10 Fortnite Montages, I could not get one of them to play!?) So if I were to post anything and share it with others, it wouldn’t even play. Frustrating the people I have sent over to watch. The one good thing I can say about DTube is the ability to hide NSFW videos, wish this was an option on Hive account@partiko. Oh and I’m not calling for censorship. Just more family friendly options on partiko, since a lot of people have families. If we want these platforms to succeed, we have to cater to everyone! At least in my opinion!

Anyone else have these problems? I don’t mean to talk bad about these platforms, just trying to draw attention so hopefully they will be fixed!
