Here at the Oregon Country Fair it's the 50th year and many a celebration is happening. The music and art is fantastic and the costumed crowds are sauntering with the joy that a party hat bestows.
Finding your way to the Oregon Country Fair can be a challenge if you are unfamiliar with the process. There are artists applications and entertainment applications, you can volunteer for a work crew or find work with a vendor. Then there is always the old fashioned way of buying a ticket, which are only available off site.
Once you arrive there is a registration process to connect with your pass and campsite. It's somewhat of chaotic mess, but more so an amazing ballet of fork lifts and water hoses. If you imagine an art fair where there are also a dozen stages, then include a family campout with a bathtub full of liquid doses, then you may begin to get a sense of what is happening around me while I write this post.
Find me out here, or find yourself out here either way. Come to the Oregon Country Fair!
