History of Juwenalia
Juwenalia - the name of the games taking place in ancient Rome, which were introduced in 59 by Emperor Nero. Nowadays, this name is defined as the student holiday that takes place every year in May.
Juwenalia began in Kraków, and in the fifteenth century, the students' feast was celebrated there.
In many academic cities, the symbolic handing over of keys to students by the presidents takes place on these days. The fun usually lasts for a number of days, during which cultural and sports events take place, organized mainly by and for students.
Juwenalian's parade
Each year students are part of big parade. Every student is drinking, dancing, screamming and singing during parade.
students try to show themselves in different costumes, from politicians, through fairy-tale characters to items. They let themselves be carried away by their imagination.
This year, I decided to participate in the festivals in Wroclaw. After the parade, there remained an amazing experience and a huge hangover.
Each student must try this event. I invite you!
