My time working for that construction company in Cairns was slowly running out. Due to my visa I’m only allowed to work maximum 6 months for the same employer. I only had a few weeks left, which made me being kind of sad. After 6 months of work with the same guys you somehow get used to each other. I’m so glad to had chance working with them, cause they taught me a lot, made working seem to be a hobby and especially because I made new friends! The low season made everything worse… during the last few weeks I didn't get more working days than three or four per week. So when i had a few days off I kept looking for another job, but it’s a pain in the ass to find a proper workplace in Cairns! Chris and me were so lucky having that job… unfortunately it was time for something new. It wasn't necessary for me to keep working but my plan was to go on a road trip in about a month or so. So instead of living of my savings for another three to four weeks I kept on working to ‘kill some time’.
