This is in response to 's comment on my previous post. She wanted to learn how I make these plasticine troll.
Before anything else, all my figurines are white because I used this to "practice" my sculpting skills. But since people are getting interested, I might invest into something else ( I need to go to the city to do that folks!) My next few posts might involve a multicolored clay.
Anyway, since I wanted this to be "mom" friendly, I decided not to use any special tools.I used regular items or, things which usually accompanies clay dough toy sets.
Materials:
clay, roller and "knife"
make a "ball" if clay
2 tiny clay on the lower part to give our troll a "fluffy" cheeks
Blend it in and roll out another "ball"
Take a pen or a pencil do what I did in the picture.
The end result: a Nose.
Repeat above the nose to create the eye socket.
Eye sockets
Roll out some balls. To create the eyes.
Roll out some "snakes"
cut it. Then place above the eyes to create "eye brows."
For the hair:
Roll out a clay.
Twist.
Do it a few more times.
Decide the hair's length and cut accordingly.
Make two tiny balls and stick at the "sides" of the head.
Get your pen/ pencil......
Oops!Sorry folks!I hope you don't mind.I just want to shoot at another angle.....
attach the "hair"
For the standing hair, repeat process of creating hair.
Back view.
For the pony....
Then.....
Tada!
To close the gap and make an ornament......
Attach to the head....
To get the "eye" detail.Roll out some smaller clay and do this.
For the mouth.....
There you go! I'll make another post on how I made the body!
Have a great day!
