Being the spirit of Christmas and the simple fact of the number of people here on SteemIt that have some sort of need, has decided to dedicate here posts to help aid in raising STEEM and SBD for those who are in need. In her post yesterday she used it to help raise money for
, her current post is to help out
.
In the spirit of her post, and through her suggestion I created a post to help who is currently in Amsterdam where his laptop has died, and his cell phone has a cracked screen. He said he has to power down in order to be able to fix his phones screen.
After the post pays out I'm going to send over all the STEEM and SBD that I receive. I am still waiting on this post to pay out.
Unlike in years past this year we now have SteemIt, and through simply voting on a post we can help raise funds together to help each other out. I see that in many ways SteemIt can be very helpful way to help others, there are several key benefits to STEEM that we do not have in Bitcoin. For instance Bitcoin requires a transaction fee, the larger the fee the faster your transaction will be processed, you could try to send the Bitcoin without the fee, but then it may take much longer for the transaction to ever be confirmed on the network.
Here on SteemIt, all one must do is go to the wallet and type in the name of the person they wish to send STEEM, or SBD to like I did here to yesterday.
There was no fee, and in general there is also no waiting time for the funds to be transferred. I saw a video by showing how he sends his SBD to BlockTrades and then over to BitPay where he now has his very own Visa debit card. There are a few places I believe XAPO which also is a Bitcoin wallet still have Visa debit cards as well. I have not used any of these so this is not to say one is better than another. Before you try to get one please do your own research, as I said I do not have a debit card yet.
Obviously since Visa cards are accepted most places, at least here in the USA, we can see this is on way were helping people out through STEEM or SBD can really help the out quickly. In the video by it did not take very long for the funds to go from SteemIt through BlockTrades and over to BitPay.
Thank you for all your support and reading this far, if you like these projects please up vote and resteem them if you can, it will help others feel like this community here on SteemIt does care about each other.
