There are times when we need to solve problems, and even though the solution might not be the perfect and the ideal solution, it is way better than not finding any sort of solution at all. In the quote of the day from Will Rogers, he highlights how there are times when you need to try to be nice and polite to be able to communicate with someone you strongly dislike and disagree with, and even though you do would like to get rid of them, that will not solve the problem. In other words, you need to be a diplomat who looks for a solution to the problem that will satisfy people around you.

In other words, forget about the perfect world, the perfect spouse, the perfect family, it is all about making the correct compromises and being a diplomat in this world. Of course, Will Rogers speaks about keeping it at peace until you can find a rock and get rid of the other one. That might be so if you are in a war against a terrorist organization in which the ultimate motivation is to get rid of the other part, but still, you need to be able to say nice doggie and look for a peaceful solution and hold the conversation going for as long as possible.
