As I stated in my last video, I decide to begin uploading my videos to Brighteon. However, I don't believe I chose the right words to explain my reasoning behind the decision. So I figured it would be better to put everything in writing instead of making a video just for this topic.
The short version is this:
I am unsatisfied with the new direction DTube is taking regarding direct uploads, DailyMotion's only good for topics that are trending on Big Tech's dystopian platforms, and I wanted to join an e-commerce store's affiliate program so you all could support what I make under The Red Express banner while buying items that you may need to stay healthy while this pandemic runs its course.
The first two issues are solved by the video platform, but the third is a big one that might go over some readers' heads. With most affiliate programs, you need to have your own website to be considered eligible to participate in them. That's why I invested time into learning how to build and host one for my content. But with Brighteon's, all you need is a channel on their video platform, at least one video on it to get in on the action, and a Paypal account to receive your commission earnings (I prefer Uphold, but that's the way Mike Adams wants to do things). Having a social media following most likely helps, but that's all they asked of me.
The store itself is not much different from the one Infowars has to keep Alex Jones & Co. online: It's stocked with dietary supplements, survival gear, and other items that are Non-GMO, free of toxic chemicals, made outside of China (in many cases), ect.. In other words, Brighteon's shop offers the same kind of products I use on a daily basis.
When you use the referral link to buy stuff from them, I earn at least 9% of the amount you spend. And since the shop offers items people want and need during this pandemic, it's a win-win-win for everyone involved: Brighteon gets more money to keep the lights on, I get a little to maintain and upgrade my gear, and you all get products that are worth a damn and safe to consume.
There is one caveat to the video platform: In order to upload every video I've created so far, I have to gain a certain number of channel views to unlock the next tier. Right now, I can only upload 50 videos. If I gain 1,000 views, the limit is doubled to 100 and so on. This is done to prevent spamming and encourage creators to use the platform as their main hub for their content. I respect that, but it does mean that I have to encourage you guys to go there so I can upload everything else down the road.
That's why I'm only promoting the links to the Brighteon versions of my videos moving forward. I know many of you would rather stream them via BitChute or elsewhere, but if I'm going to keep making videos for you guys, I can't just upload to one or two video platforms. Three is the bare minimum for me. Especially since deplatforming is still a thing and YouTube no longer wants content creators such as myself uploading stuff to theirs.
In closing, adding Brighteon into the mix provides redundancy and a passive way for you all to support The Red Express while you purchase items from their store and avoid the Wuhan Virus as much as possible. ThreeSpeak is next on the list and I will be uploading everything there as well. But for now, this is how things will be until I say otherwise.
Thank you for your time & take it easy 😎
