The Pentagon’s gargantuan budget of over $700 billion dollars annual remains unaccountable and unauditable for decades. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) of Congress cites it in continuous violation of a 1992 law that all government departments submit audits to GAO. Those in power refuse to be accountable, just as corporations submit one set of figures to shareholders and another set of accounting books and numbers to the government. Pompeo and Bolton look to leave their mark on another regime of U.S. aggression and war as the scent of profligate doom remains in the air.
