Y'all don't forget the CONTESTS built into this series. One SBI for a name, five for the needle! That makes thirty one shares for the series if someone claims the prize before the post pays out.
Congrats, for finding the needle on the Rhubarb card!
On to today's featured permaculture tidbit!
Pee!
Haha say that really excitedly in your brain. Or out loud, see what happens!
Woo, look at all that nitrogen. Urea is the nitrogen source in pee, and it has all kinds of uses.
- When setting up a straw bale garden, you need urea to help initiate the composting if the bale.
- Pee in your compost! It'll help your carbon source break down. C:N, right?
- As the card says, direct application is good too!
Just a few more ways to close your waste loop and make your life a bit more holistic. And it'll save money too. Your water bill likely isn't just incoming water, it's probably got a sewer side too. So the more you use your pee outside, the less you'll flush... Just something to think about.
Happy plants make more food. Making plants happy by using urine saves money on the utilities bill. Sounds like a compound benefit to me. I'm gonna go pee on things ;)
Be blessed.
Be fruitful.
Stay relevant.
