This is my AKC registered full blooded German Shepherd Dog Lex. He is my favorite pet of all time. He is the first inside pet that my wife and I trained to do commands like sit, lay down, speak, roll over, heel, and shake. He was the cutest little puppy and he had the sharpest little teeth. He would nip at our heels like all puppies do and I wouldn't care because of how cute he looked and sounded.
Lex grew up fast and between him and the cat the hair that they shed was getting out of hand. When we would find the little bits of hair that they had shed we would call them their fur babies. It was a joke about the unending and multiplying volume of hair we were cleaning up. When we would vacuum every couple of days it would fill up the vacuum with hair. Eventually the indoor pets became indoor outdoor pets because my wife had our first child and we were worried about how the hair would effect our daughter. I wish we had a bigger back yard, but he seems happy with the size that we do have.
My sister loved our dog so much she got a White German Shepherd and named him Rex. She brings him over sometimes and we call them cousins. Now Rex is actually bigger than Lex and they look awesome sitting side by side.
We are developing a 2 acre plot of land that we intend to build our home on and I can't wait to move out their for Lex to enjoy. Until then he enjoys the open plots of land around our home and is always eager to play frisbee.
