Car Show, Thai Style 2022
See the previous post part 1 here. This show was put on by the Terminal21 shopping mall and TOYO tires to create a gathering of some of the best custom cars and JDM tuner cars in the Kingdom of Thailand. In part 1 we covered all the Nissan GT-R on display. Part 2 will focus on other custom tuner JDM (and local manufactured) rides at the show.
'Rotiform' alloy wheels with some unique additional customization by BOUNCE
A lot of air rides - BOUNCE featuring prominently
So onto the whole topic of this part of the show report. So many cars of such different genre, so in the next part will be more of the other rare supercars and American rides, for today, lots of Civics and similar on air suspension!
Featuring heavily on many of the cars (in fact a large section of the show) was the front windscreen stickers reading 'BOUNCE' or Bounce Luxury Shop, which is a nearby (Rayong, Thailand) based car tuner specializing in converting any and all vehicles to ride to compressed air based low-rider systems. This seems to have caught on massively in the local scene and 'BOUNCE' would appear to be the dominant force in this space, especially in the Eastern seaboard of Thailand. I believe they also call it 'Stancing'.
Cool in a Qube
Nissan Qube featuring air ride suspension and a lot more ... very special paint and wheels as evident in the photos.
Surprisingly modest paint color for such an outrageous Qube
Featuring an interesting arrangement of stickers, some a little R rated!
The paint color was a standout feature here. It just toned down the loudness and softened the look to something more harmonious and, well, cool. I'm calling this color baby poo green.
A Civic, of course - but check out the hue on that paint, how cleaned up all the lines are, then look closely at the crazy wheels. Plus how they hide under the arches. There's a lot that has gone into making this all fit just perfectly.
You must be Juking
Time for a Juke which has had just every square inch and piece down to the trim and tail lights changed into something other worldly. The pics of this one speak for themselves! The Juke an already quirky looking car, enters another realm with this build.
Yep, it's a Nissan Juke with a hardcore makeover
Certainly this one is an eye catcher. I'd hate to scrape those wings or kerb those alloys however. Perhaps not an ideal daily ...
Be loud, be seen!
It's a wrap? Or it's all real? Or it's a mixture? The carbon looked very convincing. Perhaps some day we'll find out more about this insane looking Nissan Juke.
Accompanied by it's Mitsubishi friend, also outrageous in every respect.
(Above) What appears to be solid and cosmetically finished carbon fiber pieces, plus a very interesting panel along the center of which material or method is unknown. However, it is possible it is one of the newer types of carbon composite, polished with resin, or art?
Some really serious rubber to top it all off under those carbon arches ...
Old Corolla
What would a Thai car show be without one? This slightly 'rat rod' looking one had some very interesting skull shaped headlights going on.
Neat.
Roof Rack + Cross Spoke 'BBS' Style wheels = "Euro look":)
Mk2 Toyota MR-2
One of the highlights for me, a very nicely if not quite factory MR2 with plenty of style. Looks very much like the perfect track day toy.
Rotiform
These wheels are all the rage right now ...
Yaris
Even the humble Yaris doesn't escape the Bounce treatment.
More Colorful Rides
Thanks for reading, and watch this space! Parts 3 and 4 will focus on some very cool European and American vehicles ... there are some very cool cars coming up from the rest of this show. Most of the best has been saved until last!
