Like every dog on the planet... my little floofter doesn't give a crap what her hair looks like but the time comes every month or so where i have to veto the cute attitude and make an appointment with the local doge beauty salon.
I think I actually waited too long for this one, as the long hair in her face was starting to make problems as far as the never-ending flow of eye-crud is concerned. While my doge-pal was not at all excitedabout going to what is bound to be her least favorite place in the world other than the vet, it needed to be done.
Keeping the front yard free of stray cats since 2019
It breaks my heart a little bit every time i drop her off at the "chop shop" because dogs have this sense where they can feel from the other dogs' emotions that are already there in the kennels and on the grooming tables that "This is not a fun place to be" but because my little fluffer is a good baby, she complied with the drop off. I was told that I should pick her up in two hours..... Because i worry too much i was there 1.5 hours later.
This is the after picture and as soon as we got back in the house she immediately went to her "safe space" and just wanted to hang out there for a while before she crept out and ended up getting loads of treatie-pies the same way she always does.
It is truly amazing how much a dog can forgive you once treats are introduced but after a little bit of playing an copious amounts of "yum yums" that she was soon all tuckered-out and was ready to have a snooze... hopefully forgetting the trauma of going to "doggy haircut jail" for 2 hours.
could barely stay awake for the picture
Friends of mine often tell me that I am too attached to my dog and these people can all suck eggs. I think that the the relationship that a person feels with their doge-pal is one that really can't be compared to any other and when I truly think about it, i feel as though there is a very good possibility that I care more about this fluffer than a vast majority of the people I meet..... and I don't even feel bad about that.
I actually lost my wallet on the way home from picking her up at the hair salon, but that is a story that must be saved for another time.
