HAPPY AND SMILLE to those who enter the church's entrance of ANTIPOLO CHURCH.
She is LOLA SAMPAGUITA better known by the name ALING NENA, a sampaguita vendor who sits on the main gate of the church.
At 60 years of age, Aling NENA did not have a job but she sell a sampaguita a visit to church attendees and visit church paroko. Marahil, si Aling nena ang pinakamatanda at pinakamatagal ng nagtitinda ng sampaguita dito sa Antipolo City.
"Forty years (40) I'm selling a sampaguita and here I raised my children from my husband's death," said Aling Nena.
Aling Nena early married and had six children, including twins.
According to Aling Nena, he sells his daily income - it's raining or sunny day.
When I talked to him, Aling Nena did not mind the heat of the day in the morning as he held the bundle of flowers offered to the passers-by.
Like the sampaguita flowers that have become part of the lives of Filipinos, Aling Nena is also considered a Antipolo City model because of her hard work, sacrifice and care for her children no matter how hard it is to live.
