Starting another blog series for my page.
I recently realized that I have spent and am actually still spending a LOT of time watching TV series, and by a lot, I really mean a LOT.
Here are the TV series I have gotten to watch, some of which are already defunct, while some are still airing; some I have religiously watched up to the present or until they stopped airing; some I have gotten bored of and stopped watching.
1. Heroes: science fiction / 2006-2010 / 4 seasons
I watched only 3 seasons. I guess this was the start of my TV series addiction. The first season was very promising and interesting but the story line got too lame, so I wasn’t able to finish it.
2. How I Met Your Mother: romantic sitcom / 2005-2014 / 9 seasons
Watched the very first episode until Ted Mosby finally met the mother, only to get back with his season 1 love interest. Geez.
3. Merlin: fantasy-adventure drama / 2008-2012 / 5 seasons
Finished all 5 seasons
4. Criminal Minds: police procedural crime drama / 2005-present / 13 seasons
Yup, watched from season 1, and still watching it. I so love JJ and Reid.
5. Bones: crime procedural drama / 2005-2017 / 12 seasons
Watched from season 1 all the way to the final episode in season 12. I was really sad when the series ended
6. The Big Bang Theory: sitcom / 2007-present / 11 seasons
Still watching it, and will continue to watch and hope that Sheldon and Amy will have kids in the future
7. Glee: musical comedy-drama / 2009-2015 / 6 seasons
I was a Gleek from season 1 until season 4. I chose not to continue watching season 5 after the death of Cory Monteith, who played one of the major characters. It hit me hard then. RIP, Finn.
8. The Walking Dead: zombies, zombies, zombies / 2010-present / 8 seasons
I stopped watching by the middle of season 6 (or was it season 5?), when everyone thought that Glenn died under the dumpster, but after that cliffhanger, Glenn was still alive. And now, I found out that Glenn is already dead. Or, is he? Really?
9. Once Upon a Time: fantasy drama / 2011-present / 7 seasons
I only lasted 2 seasons, when the daughter of Snow White broke the curse of the evil witch. The 7th season will be its last.
10. Grimm: fantasy / 2011-2017 / 6 seasons
I think I stopped at season 4? I forgot. As hot as the lead character is, the story got dull for my taste.
11. Scandal: political thriller / 2012-present / 7 seasons
I forgot in which season I stopped watching, because I got bored. Based on Google, the 7th season will be its last.
12. Arrow: superhero / 2012-present / 6 seasons
I only lasted 4 seasons. I guess Oliver Queen’s charms didn’t work on me that much.
13. The Flash: superhero / 2014-present / 4 seasons
Only 2 seasons. I’m planning to continue watching this again soon, coz I still love Barry Allen.
14. How to Get Away with Murder: drama / 2014-present / 4 seasons
I’m still in the middle of season 2, and still contemplating if I should continue watching Annalise.
15. This is Us: family drama / 2016-present / 2 seasons
My God. This show makes me cry in every episode. This is so, so good.
16. Riverdale: teen drama / 2017-present / 2 seasons
I love Archie comics, so needless to say, I got intrigued by this show, which is a very far cry from the comic books. The TV show is dark, but the take on the characters is very interesting. Plus, the actors and actresses are all so hot. I will always be a fan of B&V, be it in the comics or the TV series.
17. 13 Reasons Why: teen drama / 2017-present / 2 seasons
Season 2 is yet to air, and I can’t wait to watch it. As dark as the show is, I love the interesting concept.
18. Stranger Things: science fiction / 2016-present / 2 seasons
One of the bests. I can’t wait for Season 3. I wish there were Eggos for sale in my country. I want to be like Eleven when I grow up. I want to have Eleven’s powers. I wish I were part of Mike’s gang. I wish there were Dustin and Steve in real life. OMG, what has this show done to me?
19. Game of Thrones: fantasy drama / 2011-2017 / 7 episodes
THE BEST. THE ABSO-FCKING-LUTELY BEST. Don’t get me started. I will talk about my obsession with Game of Thrones probably in another post, because right now, all I could think about is that the 8th and final season will be aired in 2019 yet. And it’s making me crazy.
This list doesn’t include the Asian flicks I have watched. That might be in another entry. I'm also not sure if I have listed all MY shows here. There are just too many.
These TV shows have become my lifeline during weekends and long holidays when I am too lazy to go out of the house, which, I might say, is always.
I guess, I will never stop. This is a part of my life now.
What are yours? Have you watched any of the series I enumerated above? Or like Jon Snow, you know nothing?
