Our Happy Place
This blog will be about our stay in our happy place in Sta.Maria Davao Oriental and how much we spent all throughout our trip.
We only spent $16 or Php800. In all our travels we always stay as frugal as possible because we believe that we could go places without spending too much.
Sta.Maria is quite far from our hometown and it took us 3hrs travel time since we rode on a non-air bus and has to stop over each city we pass by. We spent $3 each for our one way trip and it helped us save a lot nonetheless. $6 bus ride for both of us 👏
the route we took
The moment we arrived at Sta.Maria in the town of Basyawan we saw a little market and we bought squids for our meal for $2 per kilo. So we bought a kilo of squid perfect for grill.
We have to ride a motorcycle to get to the beach and that ride costs just $1 for a long and bumpy road. I couldn't even take photos because it really is a rough road. The owner of the house we stayed in are care takers of the beach and they gave us fish to grill as well.
Quality time with Him
We had so much fun in our stay there. We enjoyed the beach because it is a private area and the place is untouched. The water is crystal clear and the only thing that we can see on the shore are trees and rift woods.
We took photos and videos as well that I believe will make a blog out of it. Since school year started we didn't have much traveling because I got too busy in school. This Happy Place we went to is a good start for summer travel plans.
One of the best things about going there is that people are too hospitable. They offer unlimited rural delicacies so we dont need to spend for our meals. Almost everything is for free and we cant thank them enough for the hospitality they offered us. In return we made some artsy stuff using paints and rift woods.
And before the sun goes down we went home. Transportation is quite difficult there when it is already night time. We spent another $1 for motorcycle ride. Then $6 for the bus ride.
There you have it. Our simple travel to our Happy Place. Thank you guys for dropping by and I hope you guys find this blog a useful one.
