Mt. Romelo, situated in Brgy. Macatad, Siniloan, Laguna is an adventurer’s choice when it comes to easy chill hiking and its waterfall side trips. Mt. Romelo is the land of waterfalls. It has a total of seven(7) stunning waterfalls under its sleeve. While it is identified as a relatively easy hike to the summit elevating at only 240 meters above sea level, seeing the waterfalls on the other hand poses another kind of challenge.
Here we are..
And before we start our trekking, we first prayed for the safety and guidance of our Almighty God.
We started our trek at 7:00 AM and we have already experienced a muddy and slippery trekking. Honestly, this was my first trekking knowing that I might give up along the way because I can easily get tired.
That was the first one we just experienced in climbing the Mt. Romelo. It was really hard to pass through to that kind of trail. But when we passed, we feel so relieved that we feel like we’re strong enough to conquer the trekking.
(and because of that, we took a photo)
That experienced was really fun!!
And this was our first stop over for resting..
We almost took 10 minutes to rest in this area where our first hard experienced in the beginning was tackled. We were so happy because we just encountered a very beautiful scenery in this area.
There are also several rest stations along the trail where you can buy drinks and snacks..
After almost an hour of trekking and resting, we finally reached the summit of Mt. Romelo. And now, meet one of my best friends..
From the summit, we took another an hour and 30 minutes to reach the campsite..
From the camp site, we decided to go first to Batya Batya Falls where we needed to pass through to a small river. It took us almost 30 minutes from the camp site before get there.
We needed to use a rope for the safety of those who couldn’t swim..
And this is the Batya Batya Falls..
From the Batya Batya Falls, we climbed a steep trail leading to Sampaloc Falls. The path was slippery and dangerous so we had to be extra careful. Holding on to rocks and tree roots was really helpful.
It took us an hour to reach the Sampaloc Falls. But when we reached the Sampaloc Falls, it was a beautiful falls. The water is cold.
And this is the Sampaloc Falls
and Sampaloc Falls behind me..
After that, we have to go to the camp site for safety..
On our first night, we drink alcohol beverages for us to easily fall asleep and to resist the cold weather. Some members of our group were tired that they can’t even drink, so they have to sleep for our second day trekking and seeing the waterfalls.
Also, I wanted you to meet our coolest guide.. Mr. Botong. He is nice and jolly. We invited him to join our drinking session. And it’s nice that he joined.. That made our night happier.. He made jokes every time..
On our second day, we cooked “Sopas” for breakfast, one of the Filipino favorites in breakfast..
After eating, we decided to go to Lanzones falls. This falls is one of the nearest falls in the camp site..
This is the Lanzones Falls..
From Lanzones Falls, we are now going to Buruwisan Falls..
And now, this is the Buruwisan Falls..
Time to relax.. and play..
We finally reached the waterfalls at around noontime on our second day. And instantly, we were captivated by its beauty.
I hope you enjoy reading guys..
Thank you.. and God bless us all..
