For a team to succeed, there should be teamwork. If one is not functioning well, it can affect the entire team, thus can lead to downfall. Each member has their own characteristics and qualities. It may manifest while working with your team, but each member will carry his own load, and we shouldn't be unceasing in achieving what we aimed. Since each members has their own responsibility, there are traits that should be avoided too. I made a list of these traits or actions that should be avoided if belong to a team.
Arrogance
Most people hates arrogant people. It is fine to be confident, however, surpassing the good level of confidence is not healthy. If you are arrogant, your teammates will dislike you or even do something to bust you out of the group.
Blame Game
There may be some setbacks but blaming a teammate will not help. Instead of unity within the team, it will become a divisive factor. Encouraging everyone will somewhat help every member to do better.
Incessantly demanding
Being in a team, it is advisable to listen to your teammates. Either you are the team leader or a member, listening to your teammates and not insistent on what you want to happen will help maintain peacefulness on your team.
Inducing hate to another member
When someone expresses negative comments towards a teammate, instead of arousing the negative feeling of that person, encourage that person to look at the positive perspective. Do not induce hate to that person, even if you have similar thought, thus can avoid internal conflicts. Better talk to that person and fix the issues.
Competitive towards teammates
As a team, your aim is to succeed and prosper. If you are competitive towards your fellow teammates, it will not only cause division and dysfunction of your team. It will end to disbandment. You work as a team. If you think you are better than the others, do your best so the work of your team will neutralize. It means the weaker ones will be lifted up.
Therefore, in a team, there are dos and don'ts. If you want to succeed, do what's necessary, and avoid what can lead to failures.
