In this country, oligarchs and capitalist are monopolizing the economy. They manipulate prices touching flow of supplies. I have no evidences to prove that but I'm observing the trends. Poor stay poor and rich increases their wealth. Comparing from apples to apples? Other countries support their own local they avoid importing as much as possible. Why import if you have the same quality seen in locals. This cycle will help the small medium-size enterprise grow or by supporting local community have their sustainable livelihood. Our national economy will be as strong as this country leaders. Like Japan and Korea, this has been part of their culture focusing the potential, maximizing own's gems and vice-versa. If you notice they are not good using other's language, the same treatment using their own.Intelligence is not measured how fluent you speak the universal language. From the documentary I've watched their local engineering and technology is kicking. They are more disciplined and united. Time is so precious not to waste.
Got bored and I decided to go with my wife she never buys organic food in mall's supermarket/hypermarket. We prefer to have it in Public Market. Fruits are more fresh, cheaper, more options to select unlike in groceries that is wrapped in plastic and might a product of GMO. I saw different seller and I said to my wife to buy instead to a street vendor who can't afford to have a slot of paid place inside the market. Of course not risking the quality of a product we still select the best deal (my wife is an expert).
We ended up with this old woman who is close to our hearts selling dried fish in a pallet displayed in side-walk. We've got a chitchat and exchanging smiles. As I hand in the pay I felt the satisfied same feeling of doing charity, it feels so good. I saw Muslim people they were in same line selling fresh fish just caught in the sea. For quality checking, same as usual my wife checks the eyes, the gills and comparing of prices. In Filipino culture, we have this cultural differences I solely heard it on both sides. This gap hindrance the rocket boom of our economy including of being a fanatic of importing and a loyal consumer of international products which unfortunately the raw materials are from our locals. Where's our patriotism and nationalistic now?
If you want to help lives of struggling co-Filipinos I encourage you to buy products from locals. Their profits directly help, bringing food to serve on the table and there will be no hungry little ones. I'm not prohibiting you to buy in the big establishment but I think you have to open your eyes. You can't define how much help you can give to this local trader supporting each of their families.
Hopefully, I can catch the attention of steemit influencers it doesn't matter if you're a minnow, you can still make a difference as this is the reality. I admit It's really hard to steal the time of whales. If you're reading this article I awe you some cent of reblogging this post and to all local traders.
