Hello steemit users :) I am Maristel Sanchez , 22 years of age and a Filipino citizen .
Let me start off with the things I love . I am a music lover , in fact , I also love to sing and am currently studying to play the guitar .
Another thing is , I can say that I am an Otaku person ; and yes , I love anime.
Well , lastly , I looooove to eat . Hahaha , especially sweets and desserts .
I am actually a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Aviation Information Technology.
To my childhood cartoons I will never forget , and I'm sure "batang 90's" (children of the 90's) here in my country can relate . Here are some of it :
•HEIDI, GIRL OF THE ALPS
This is a 1974 Japanese series that is actually based on a Swiss novel , but this is aired in Philippines television since I was just four years old. One of the few things that i really love about this cartoon is the huge St. Bernard dog that she used to play with . I was really amazed as a child and I can't even imagine that dogs like that really exists. Hahaha
And as of today , i realized , maybe the reason why I love that series as a child because I feel like it is our province. You can see lots of fields , calfs and goats. And everytime I went back , it still reminds me of the child of the alps , Heidi.
• Little Princess Sarah
Oh , would forget the tragic and dramatic events of these series ? Hahaha . This 1985 Japanese series is aired in 1993 by ABS-CBN. Since kindergarten until I was in gradeschool I was really a huge fan of this series. And now , she became popular again because of several memes that is circulating in the internet. Every girl's dream is to be a princess , and this Rag-to-Riches story is still in our hearts .
And now , let's go to the foods that I love to eat . Yay ! Philippines is really known for delicious delicacies and I will tell you some of the famous "meryendas".
During summer time , this dessert is anywhere here in our country. The "Halo-Halo".
The Filipino dessert with mixtures of shaved ice and evaporated milk along with various ingredients such as sweet beans , sweet corn, gulaman , kaong, sliced banana, sweet potato and if you would like , you can add ube halaya and leche flan on top.
The famous "bilo-bilo"
This dessert is made of glutinous rice balls in coconut milk and sugar. Then , jackfruit , Saba bananas , sweet potatoes and "sago" (tapioca pearls) were added.
The street food "Turon"
You can see this dessert in streets here in the Philippines. Turon , also known as lumpiang saging is a Filipino snack made with sliced banana wrapped with spring roll wrapper , dusted with brown sugar and fried.
Lastly , I am a chocolate addict . Hahaha yes , I really love chocolates. 😍😍
But again , here in the Philippines is where the famous "tsoknat" (choc-nut) is made.
The famous Filipino dessert that for sure "batang 90's" really love.
