One of the task of HR engagement is coming up with activities for special events like Christmas, Halloween, Customer Service week, Summer Outing and of course Valentines day.
We have made match making games, Date a Sup, Acoustic nights and for the brokenhearted a spoken word night for all their "hugot ( bitter emotions pertaining to love or lack of)
In preparation for today's event we loaded all the USBs that were running love story movies with commercials just to change things up. One of my teammates suggested the #KwentongJollibee2018 (Stories of Jollibee 2018)
If you are not familiar with them I do not blame you. I haven't watched TV for a long time as I mostly watch shows by demand in the likes of Netflix. Then have not been spending a lot of time in Facebook where this mostly goes viral.
So Jollibee every year has a lot of touching commercials for every occasion. Apparently there is a market in Youtube to see people reacting to these videos.
So I will be giving you the video first and would recommend that you watch it to avoid spoilers. It has english subtitles because they know it is already being watched all over the globe. So enjoy the many faces of love.
Homecoming
SPOILER ALERT - This was a continuation of 2017 Valentines video for Jollibee entitled Crush. I would recommend that you watch the Crush video first before the 2018.
This follows the saga of the two protagonist as they recall fondly the events that happened that lead to this moment. Typical story of a pretty girl dating the school jock and a nerdy kid who silently love her.
This is a trope we often see in TV and movies. Yet was condensed enough and given much justice in a commercial of about 2-4 minutes.
It showed an almost nostalgic vibe with the look, music and an almost dreamlike hue used in the commercial. Although the ending was expected but it still gave me the feels.
Signs
We have seen this in countless teenage movies. Girl has a crush, sees all the signs that they are meant together. Life throws a monkey wrench and girl is left brokenhearted but is always comforted by that friend she has friendzoned for the longest time.
Sounds a bit bitter lol because I am usually that guy who is only noticed after the heartache. The crying shoulder who will always be there no matter what.
Status
This has got to be my most favorite out of the three. How often have we looked for love in vain when love has always been there.
I found the woman acting to be very genuine and emotional. You could feel yourself rooting for her that she would finally meet her forever. Then the realization hits you and you can help but smile.
To love ourselves is so important for our happiness.
So that's the round up of the three #KwentongJollibee2018 videos for Valentines. It is also fun watching how other people reacted.
How about you how did you react? What was your favorite?
