Hello internet! I may have the slightest idea on what I'm trying to do here on Steemit but I'll give it a shot. I can't recall the last time I attempted to blog again but I hope this time I'll really do it.
First of all, what would be a blog without a proper(?) introduction by the author?
My name is Job A. Corcuera but my friends like to call me "Corks" or sometimes "Mola" (they actually got it from my Suzuki Mola 150). I'm from the Philippines, a not-so-familiar country from the east. I'm currently taking up a degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the University of the Philippines Los Baños. I like riding my motorcycle, depriving my sleep for studying and eating extremely spicy food. Most of the time, I spend hours sitting on my chair and browsing the web for random things from drug receptor actions to leather tanning. My spontaneity to everything brought me here to Steemit. Being a student with a hobby for motorcycles and unhealthy eating, I found myself in constant poverty almost every month. I spend about an eighth of my monthly allowance to unnecessary things like cigarettes, chips, motorcycle accessories and such. I considered becoming a student assistant for a department in our college then I realized that 2000 Pesos (about $40) monthly for a part time job is pretty unfair. Disappointed and hungry, I came looking for a job in the largest community in the world, the Internet.
I tried Neobux, a paid-to-click site, for a few months. The results were very slow and I earned poorly (I was paid to click ads, which was not so hard; Hence, the poor earnings). After days of trying to find a proper online job that fits me, I came across a Facebook video about Steemit. It was a video made by Jerry Banfield and he showed how much he made in a matter of a month. At first the results he showed was completely absurd, as if he was just part of another scam site. I learned that Steemit screens their prospective members first and after a few hours of browsing reviews, I realized that Steemit was a legitimate way to earn online.
So, there you have it, here I am on my first post on Steemit. I came here to earn money but I believe content and the community is going to be a better reason for me to stay here. Cheers!
