Deep wealth is more than money
Definition: Deep wealth is what you have that most others don't have.
Too often people think of have and have nots being about money. This in my opinion is myopic. To give an example we can take a situation where we have a very physically attractive female. This female is in a room full of males. The males pay a lot of attention to her because she has something most of them want and is desirable.
This desirability can also become a liability. This attractive female may have to deal with increased risk of being harassed. If we reconfigure this situation so that there are five females each ranked by physical attractiveness so that their desirability levels are unequal, then what likely goes on in the mind of the females who for lack of better terms did not win the "beauty pageant"?
This breeds jealousy, envy, hatred even. This is to point out the fact that attractiveness such as being born beautiful, is indeed a kind of wealth. Not only is it a kind of wealth but it's something people are born with in greater or lesser extents. I use this example because it's an obvious example but it's not the only example. The point being, the physically beautiful (male or female) is desirable, but not always in a good way.
The next example I will use is the genius. A genius is the person who has a lot of brain power. This person may or may not have been born with it but one thing is clear, they have something most others don't have. This could be they just have more wisdom than most others. This genius in a room with hundreds or thousands of others is going to stand out in the same way the beautiful woman stands out. This genius of the room is going to be seen as useful and be desired by others just as Marilyn Monroe was once one of the most desired women. This is to say Einstein and Monroe had this desirability in common because they were not common.
Understanding deep wealth can allow a person to understand it's not just about how much money is or isn't in our pockets. It's about what we have that others don't have. This could be access to quality information. This could be knowledge acquired from many years of studying. This could be extraordinary athleticism, strength, toughness. This could extraordinary be compassion, empathy, moral instincts. Anything a person has that most others don't is a kind of deep wealth.
