The Tao Te Ching,
Is credited to Lao Tzu as Author, the story goes he was Departing China through the Western Gate, and was asked some questions by the border guard.
Lao Tzu is said to have written the Tao Te Ching, 81 chapters covering all aspects of life, society, nature and God, there and then in response to the border guards questions.
Regardless of how the book was written, it is seen as a classic of Philosophy from the Ancient World, written around 500 BC.
As i contemplate the many quotes, and read them to prepare for this blog, i am overwhelmed by the wisdom and insights. Today's quote comes from the many opposites and paradoxes in the Tao Te Ching.
Sometimes gain comes from losing, and sometimes loss comes from gaining.
