As a trumpet player I sort of have to start each day from square one, with basic excercises and warmups. These help me get ready for the day ahead, including practice, rehearsals and concerts.
Relaxation is a big part of these excercises. I feel like I can translate this into everyday life - try to start the day relaxed, this will help prepare you for whatever may come.
This specific excercise is an adaption on a James Stamp warmup excercise. It loosens the lips as I try to connect the pedal range (really low, fake notes) with the normal range of the trumpet.
