A load put on the wheelbarrow can later be measured, but a good deed is a blessing that cannot be measured, one of the major reason why this is so is that you never knew what level of good your deed has done in the life of your benefactor.
Ordinarily, I can not consider any other thing important than doing something good. But the reason why you do that thing is as important as any other thing that may be valued equally to the dees you have done ( if there is any ).
But contrary to people expectation of a thank you after they do something I preach against it, ordinarily, my culture support being thankful after being respective. But I think many reasons may back my view.
Seriously, as I said no good deed is small and good deed can never be measured, simply because the receiver will be the one who can only determine the gravity of impact.
For instance, on a fateful day, I went to my friend house after lecture and he offered me a simple glass of cup and I was very happy, in fact, my joy on that day was immeasurable simply because I have been very thirsty even before we commence lecture when we were at class, and also, on getting home my brother has done a very good job in cleaning my room. But to me on that day what my friend did was the thing that gave me the most joy, although I showed appreciation to both of them that same day, I continued showing gratitude to my friend for more than a week.
In the case above if my brother had considered what he did for me something that should fetch him a big thank you for more than once, you can believe with being that he had been disappointed.
If you are good giver give freely and don't expect thank you from anyone, expecting thank you are not in anyway good. It even outvalues what you might have done.
Something can even be considered in another direction:
- If you buy yourself clothes, did you say thank you to yourself?
- If you buy yourself a drink or food, did you appreciate the money you used to buy it?
- Have you ever even thank the creator of your source of giving perfectly?
Many more instances can be considered, but the little one consider should zero your mind off thank you for every good deed.
The repayer of debt will definitely repay everyone doing something.
