How many times you said to yourself that you’ll work harder this time?
Trying to finish an article but ended up putting off the paper and pen?
There are times that our motivation lost and ended up questioning ourselves if we are on the right path.
There will be doubters.
There will be mistakes.
but with hard work,
there are no limits."
Our motivation seems to overflow when we are just starting. It’s because our mind is full of possibilities of a great result of our work. But when our body really does the work our mind will start to think of the hardships that we have to endure to get in the finish line. This is how we lose our motivation.
So when we are planning a project, we must be realistic rather be too idealistic. We have to expect obligations, we have to open ourselves to the possible problems ahead of us. Doing this, we equip ourselves of the possible solutions for these possible obstacles.
Back in college, I have a scary professor who always made us trembling whenever she enters our classroom.
At the end of her lesson, if there’s an excess time she was always motivating us in a peculiar way. She told us funny stories with her sarcastic expressions. She was always practical. I remember she was encouraging us to pass the LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers). She told us that to pass the exam, aim to be a topnotcher. Review to be a topnother and work like a topnotcher. If ever we are not a topnotcher in the exam at least we will land above the average.
Dreaming being in the top will make you exert more effort and work like on the top.
I apply this in my life especially on the things that I’m really interested. I may not be the smartest or the highest but at least I’m closer to my dreams.
This help me to open myself in every opportunity that comes. This also help me to not be afraid of doing something because of committing mistakes and be judged by others. Instead my mindset is “I can do everything except for the things I’m not interested”.
In steemit, we too can be whales! Strive to be a whale, work like a whale, publish a good quality article and of course give back to the steemit community by helping and supporting minnows.
I think waiting for a perfect time is my greatest mistake. Before I was always hesitant to grab an opportunity thinking there will be a greater opportunity. So I wait and wait for that perfect time as if I had a vision of it. But unfortunately it never came. Guys! THERE. IS. NO. PERFFECT. TIME!
So if I were you, don’t wait for something that doesn’t exist yet. Don’t let that “waiting” be a hindrance to postpone your dreams. Work now before it’s too late!
Start what you can start now and be prepared when opportunity strikes!
I really believe in the power of persistence. I admire people who persist to achieve their dreams and continue working even other people are trying to stop them.
To achieve our dreams, we have to be hard-headed. I always meet people who give their useless opinions to me saying that I can’t and I will never make it. The good thing is, it doesn’t discourage me instead their negativity towards me gives me an extra energy to work harder. Sometimes I’m thankful with that energy, though.
This maybe a tough and a very long road. This maybe requires patience, tears and even perspiration but just don’t give up. Because out of billions of people in this world there will be at least one person who will help you to get through it. Trust me, I just had one today!
Lastly...
If you don’t believe that you can achieve your dreams you can’t and will never make even a single step towards your dreams.
The day when you start to believe that you can also achieve what other people can achieve is the start of working on your dreams.
God has given us mind, body and talents to use for improving ourselves and not be stuck in a corner. Use it! Put down all your doubts and start working. Even if you don’t know what to do next, just start! You will learn eventually.
To all steemians especially the newbies, I encourage you to believe in yourself that you can be achievers too!
Wanting to improve your account and be a whale?
Big possibility! Just keep on writing and never ever give up. Be hard-headed!
Get those negativities of other people towards you and use thatt as an extra energy when you are starting to lose your motivation.
Prove to them that THEY. ARE. WRONG!
If others can achieve it, we can too!
