The reason we are not good to each other comes from various sources. The first one is how we are taught to behave and see life in general. If someone is taught to see other people as competition in order to be more wealthy or successful, the level of empathy gets really low. And then you cannot expect that person to understand what means to behave nice and to validate other peoples' feelings. If you chase money and material goods, beauty and other external satisfactions, you won't be a happy person, because those things give us only some shallow feelings and we become frustrated. When people are frustrated, they are rude. And when the last moment comes, the damage is already done. But, fortunately, we are not all taught the same and we can make future for our children better.
