Greetings and Salutations Steemian Multiverse!
Another BEAUTIFUL day it is to exist in the frozen tundra!
Last night upon arrival to my home, I had a conversation with my Iana Rain, and my nephew that not only would I like to share with you, but also, I would like to thank each and every one of you for, for without this community this lesson to myself and to my family would not have been had. Gratitude
In discussing this glorious multiverse with my beloved family, I was asked to explain how steemit works. A complex question that I in no way have the answer to but I gave it my best shot.
In my first attempt to explain, I attempted to share my experience on 
I instead received a more difficult rebuttal, well how does crypto work, and how do you get money from it?
Being that that was a loaded question to my un educated mind, I Answered with, "it works the same way as stock,"
And finally for the big one, why are YOU getting paid? Why do you get paid for your youtube content, and now steemit?
The only answer I could give, was one that I knew, but feel my understanding could use further contemplation, reflection and opinion from others like yourselves, so I would like your thoughts.
"YOUR ATTENTION IS VALUABLE AND IT IS BEING PURCHASED!" I told my family. Every time you look at Facebook, Instagram, twitter your attention is focused on the thing. How about Televised Programming, Netflix, Hulu? SAME THING The newspaper, Time Magazine? Oh Yeah! And how about the attention we are allowing in the background (which is arguably more powerful to the subconscious ) I.E Pandora ads, Background youtube ads, so on and so fourth I <3 Radio, all of these platforms are being used to draw your attention. Do you get paid for watching ads? commercials? Seeing "boosted posts" ... NO! ... But somebody does.
Steemians, Your Time and attention are being Mined like Gold, Diamonds, and Platinum, which means it is VALUABLE! Why is your attention so valuable? Because it is POWERFUL!
Ask a Yogi what happens when one focuses their attention inward.
Ask a Magician what happens when you focus your attention outward.
Your attention is a creative force, powerful, valuable without measure and it's being stolen from you and sold without your consent, and without you benefiting from it. Could one argue that we chose to give it away? Yes, but as a hypnotherapist I will tell you that choice is an illusion unless you are consciously aware of why the choice is being made. 97% of choice is actually subconscious reflex. So no, People operate out of programming, and habit (or even addiction) not choice a large majority of the time.
To top it all off, when your attention is overloaded, you go into a state called hypnosis. Hypnosis = hyper aware/foccused And HYPER SUGGESTIBLE
Could I as a hypnotherapist use flashing lights and colors to hypnotist somebody? Without a doubt!
Can corporate america? They can and they do!
What is the screen of your computer, tablet, cellphone or television other than overstimulating flashing lights? Why do people go into trance when watching tv, listening to music or even zone out staring at a page?
THEY ARE HYPNOTIZING YOU! They are doing it to influence you, and each and every one of us (now that we are aware) chose to consent to it! People are paid to design ads for that purpose and they use it as a force to feed the mister of consumerism!
Could it be that not only is your attention being drawn but you are being overloaded and suggested to preform actions at the same time? Hypnotizing people by the masses to keep them in the "invisible fence" mentioned in our REALIZE video?

Knowledge is power and knowledge of a thing will aide in overcoming it. Reclaim your power, reclaim your attention, spend it as you wish and not as "they" wish, and be a creative force in your part of the multiverse that we share, for your good and the good of the world rather than for the good of the Corporations'
