Ill share a personal Story of one of first Economic mentors / Lectures. In order to show that there is a BIG deference in knowing something and understanding what you know! It took me years to get the video above! YEARS!!! - I mean, to understand it enough so i knew how to implement the knowledge into action!
The story of the Econ Lectures goes like this. He worked in a very respectable University in NZ, bought a house in 2007 with his new wife and little baby girl. In 2008 4 insurance companies/Banks went under because of a bubble that popped in financial instruments in the Housing markets. They are AIG, Lehman Brothers, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. That sent a ripple though the world, my Mentor lost his house because he was not able to pay his financial obligations and the value of the house went down by 25%. Shortly after he lost his wife and his self respect and went on a big unhealthy down spiral...
