The exploiters typically use this mindset to their advantage. They use it as a hedge when they are caught, preventing them from enduring the full wrath of the law.
Not saying you are wrong, but this philosophy is not a one size fits all solution. There are people who feed off of the benevolence of society, this philosophy makes them worse.
