I moved to Canada 🇨🇦 3.5 years ago and little did I know that I was going to love this country so much.
First of all I want to acknowledge other steemians that inspire me to make great posts such as this one:
with super honest content
a mom to be that shares beautiful photographs of her every day life.
whom I think is going to be far in steemit due to his amazing, honest and raw content.
who has taught me to acknowledge other steemians and share great content.
Canadians have the reputation of being very nice people all over the world. In my personal experience I have never felt racial discrimination, but in the contrary, when I mention I am Mexican I have always felt people's curiosity to know how my life was like or how it is when I visit my family. And well, now I have a Canadian son, born of a Mexican and a Southafrican, so he carries blood from a big chunk of the world's ancient civilizations, and I hope he will grow into not only a nice person, but a compassionate human being.
These pictures are from our day trip yesterday, in which we celebrated 150 years of the consolidation of this nation. And I love the opportunities we get to enjoy nature. Below you can see Capilano river, where in this season salmons will climb up against the stream.
I love that here in the west coast people give a lot of importance to health...
We are fortunate to have the warmest weather of all of Canada, mountains, rivers, lakes, ocean, forest trails, so there are tons of activities that one can enjoy all year long.
... and care about nature's conservancy
I believe that the more people get in close contact with nature, the healthier and happier will be.
And that is why and I are making a big effort to keep our son close to nature, to watch the trees and breath fresh air, by observing nature one can understand the ultimate laws that rule life itself.
What I feel is one of the biggest problems of what Canada means is the sad and violent history with the First Nations people. There is a long way to go, before we can heal that past. At the moment I stand here, with all the richness of this country but also acknowledging the people from this land, and wish to always live according to values of appreciation and respect in our multicultural city of Vancouver.
I love creating valuable content for my fellow steemians, it is all written and produced by me unless indicated in the text. All proceeds will be used consciously and carefully to make this world a better place.
