It's always nice to be able to capture a great #nofilter photo, but if you always wait until lighting conditions are perfect, you may be limiting your options for a lot of great shots. Often I will take shots when the light isn't ideal, and see what I can do after the fact with filters.
Sometimes I'm not successful, but sometimes I am. If I'm stuck on transit and looking for something to do, I will look through older photos that, at the time, I thought weren't worth anything, and play around with the filters to see if I can improve it.
Here are a couple examples of bad lighting, taken on the same dreary day. I think they turned out pretty well! What do you think?
